The video shown to the right is an AI-generated visualization of prosthetic research.
To the right are a few scientific publications I have written or contributed to through my research. My original project focused on creating a novel, self-adjusting prosthetic liner which is the right-most paper.
R = Reimagine any problem, shortcoming, societal need, or unanswered question that you want to explore in detail.
E = Examine ALL aspects related to that topic, searching if there are any current answers or existing solutions. What do these solutions do well? What are they lacking?
S = Search and deep dive into existing databases and literature to become an expert on that topic and understand the possibilities for your discovery or invention.
E = Explore possible mentors or experts who can guide your research journey. Apply for summer programs, courses, or workshops to gain valuable skills related to your research topic.
A = Act! Work under the guidance of a teacher and mentor and find time to make progress! Your research journey will be filled with hard work, failures, and intensive study, but also success, dedication, and growth.
R = Review your plan, methodology, findings, and prototype… like a million times. Write a paper and present it to your mentor in advance for final edits and advice.
C = Correct any errors and make final edits to your paper or manuscript. Submit your research to competitions that promote research to share your findings and inspire further exploration on that topic.
H = Harvest the crop of success and joy that grew from the seeds of your research. You did it!
